90 mph winds?! The beneteau first 42 handled it like it was nothing. Just a little rolly. Have y'all done a full circumnavigation with her or how many times has she crossed oceans?

Awesome video! It’s actually about sailing. So many of them are about the people, their baby, and the dog. The boat is almost an afterthought. And good on them if that’s what you like, but this is what I want to sea. I sail with a friend on his 32’ sloop but I can’t get used to the boat listing hard over like that. You’re so up-close to those waves you could kiss them. There was a couple of 5:58 times there when the ocean almost kissed you back! Thanks for sharing your experience with the rest of us. Wenn ihr gute Filme machen wollt, müsst ihr die Kamera auf den Horizont ausrichten und nicht auf das Boot. Wenn ihr das macht kommt die Neigung des Bottes richtig zur Geltung. Es gibt Leute denen es bei Betrachtung solcher Filme sogar schlecht wurde.

I'm in awe of proper yahts men and women. A skipper once advised me to try a long night sail from firth of forth into north sea to see how I'd manage on a longer trip with his crew....... didn't end up crewing for them 😅 Its a very underestimated skill.

Looks like you had some fun! Waves into the cockpit…but it looked like both the boards were not in and the hatch open!

Pity no storm jib or mainsail/trysail. Sure boat would have been much easier to handle, with autopilot, meaning poor helmsman could have sat under sprayhood. A part-rolled genoa is very inefficient, and the struggle with the wheel was because the boat was unbalanced. And for the record, I crossed the Indian Ocean, two-up, on a Rustler 36 in much heavier conditions, so I‘m not just an armchair sailor.
